Agenda:

 

 

  1. Approval of previous meeting minutes

       Ordered, that Creative Economy Industry Coordinator position repeal date be extended by amending the PR Classification Schedule of Chapter 2 and the   115th Amendment to Chapter 2 to strike the following sentence: “this ordinance shall automatically be repealed two years from the date of passage” and replacing it with this ordinance shall automatically be repealed on June 30th of 2016.

 

  1. Bresnahan 3/4/14: Order The City provide a parking space specifically for the City Solicitor on top of the parking deck adjacent to City Hall

 

  1. Lisi 3/18/14 : Order City Council review all of the parking spaces on the deck behind city hall and create ordinances that assign at least 5 15-minute spaces to visitors and reserve additional spaces for all of the city hall employees who merit a space based on the frequency with which they travel to and from their offices

 

  1. Alexander 9/3/13: Ordered Whereas:  Sections 6.1.3 (Parking Setbacks), Section 6.5 (Performance Standards) and Section 6.6 (Landscaping Requirements) do not adequately address the full range of site-specific concerns

 

 Ordered: That these Sections and any related sections of the Zoning Ordinances be reviewed for update

 

  1. Alexander 4/14/14: Ordered that the Creative Economy Industry Coordinator position repeal date be extended by amending the PR Classification Schedule of Chapter 2 and the 115th Amendment to Chapter 2 to strike the following sentence: “this ordinance shall automatically be repealed by two years from the date of passage” and replacing it with this ordinance shall automatically be repealed on June 30th of 2016

Alexander 3/4/14:  Order Chapter 22 Sec 22-71 (Auction Licenses) be amended to replace issuance by the City Council with issuance by the License Commission, and that section 22-73 (Fee) be amended to remove reference to a specific amount and the setting of such fee be granted to the License Commission.

 

  1. Alexander 3/4/14: Ordered  That Ordinance Sec 10-51 (Billiard etc. licenses) be changed to require a license issued by the License Commission rather than the City Council.

 

  1. Alexander 3/4/14: Ordered That Chapter 62 be reviewed for (a) streamlining, (b) inclusion as one or more Divisions of Chapter 22 (Businesses), (c) to revise section 62-32 (Peddler’s License- Registration Required)’s requirement of a Police-issued Permit with a License Commission-issued License, (d) to revise section 62-93 (Hawker’s License- Issuance) replacing the City Council with the License Commission as Issuing Authority, and (e) d) to revise section 62-33 and 62-94 removing the reference to specific permit fees and granting the setting of such fees to the License Commission

 

  1. Alexander 3/4/14: Ordered That Chapter 65 be reviewed for (a) streamlining, (b) inclusion as one or more Divisions of Chapter 22 (Businesses), (c) to revise section 66-61 (License) replacing the City Council with the License Commission as the Issuing Authority, (d) that section 66-65 (Fees) be revised to eliminate reference to specific fees and grant fee-setting authority to the License Commission

 

  1. Alexander 3/4/14: Ordered That Chapter 98 be reviewed for (a) streamlining, (b) inclusion as one or more Divisions of Chapter 22 (Businesses), (c) to revise all appropriate sections replacing the City Council and/or the Chief of Police with the License Commission as the Issuing Authority, (d) that all appropriate sections be revised to strike reference to specific fees and to grant fee-setting authority to the License Commission

 

  1. Alexander 3/4/14: Ordered  That Chapter 22 Article III (Fortune Tellers) be amended to replace permit issuance by the Police Department with issuance by the License Commission, that section 22-103 (Fee) be amended to remove reference to a specific amount and the setting of such fee be granted to the License Commission, and that the entirety of Article III be reviewed to streamline it and bring it into alignment with other similar regulated businesses.

 

  1. Alexander 3/4/14: Ordered That Chapter 22 Sec 22-1 (Miscellaneous Business License Fees) be amended to strip reference to specific fee amounts and that control over that fee schedule be granted to the License Commission

 

  1. Alexander 3/4/13: Ordered That the Council create a position of Inspector of Licenses with appropriate duties and powers to ensure compliance with the conditions attached to any License or Permit granted or monitored by the Commission
