Item 1: Previous Meeting Minutes

Item 2: McGee 9/5/17: Ordered, that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “LOG POND COVE- CT RIVER-INVASIVE PLANT CONTROL PROJECT” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

Item 3: McGee 9/5/17:  Ordered, that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “MUNICIPAL VULNERABILITY PREPAREDNESS GRANT” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

Item 4: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered, that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “Office of the Attorney General Abandoned Housing Initiative Demolition Fund” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

Item 13: Leahy 9/6/16: Order:  That the city charge an administration fee on all tows completed by the tow companies contracted with the city. This fee would be collected by the tow company and paid to the city monthly. The fee should be in line with the cities that surround Holyoke.

 

Item 14: McGee: Whereas there are several traffic light and cross walking signal failures throughout the city, in order to properly address the public safety issues with regard traffic light and cross walk intersection failures it is requested that: the DPW and fire department provide different bonding options for replacing/repairing the traffic light/cross walks in the city.  The options should be provided to the city council ASAP.

 

Item 15: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered that there is hereby authorized to be established and maintained for fiscal year 2018 the Roberts Field Sports Complex Revolving Fund

 

Item 16: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered that there is herby authorized to be established and maintained for fiscal year 2018 the Wistariahurst Museum Activities Revolving Fund

 

Item 17: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered that there is herby authorized to be established and maintained for fiscal year 2018 the Elderly Health Services Revolving Fund

 

Item 18: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered that there is herby authorized to be established and maintained for fiscal year 2018 the Community Emergency Response Team Revolving Fund

 

Item 19: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered that there is herby authorized to be established and maintained for fiscal year 2018 the Community Field Park Revolving Fund

 

Item 20: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered that there is herby authorized to be established and maintained for fiscal year 2018 the Recycling Program Revolving Fund

 

Item 21: McGee 6/20/17: Ordered that there is herby authorized to be established and maintained for fiscal year 2018 the Government TV Access Channel Revolving Fund

 

Item 22: Bartley 6/20/17: Order:  The city of Holyoke establish a revolving fund dedicated to its recycling program so that revenue raised will be used to purchase larger recycling bins. Please provide city council with a report on revenue generate from recycling, expenses avoided, and the list of home owners requesting the wheeled containers

 

Item 23: Bresnahan 5/2/17: Order that the Mayor or his designee inform the city council as to the cost of renting the city hall auditorium. Does this cost associated with the auditorium cover all DPW or other city employees that are needed to set up and break down the auditorium before and after the parties.  If the cost of renting the auditorium is not paid for by the renter or does not cover any work or overtime of city employees who is covering these costs

 

 

Item 24: Greaney 8/2/16: Order:  that the City Council receive a copy of the contractual agreement between the City of Holyoke and Frontier Management regarding the Lynch School property.  I would like the council to review this agreement in detail as soon as possible.  I have requested this information previously, but I have not received it.

 

Item 25: McGee 10/3/17: that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “MEDAL OF HONOR MONUMENT GRANT” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

Item 26: McGee 10/3/17: Order the city council invite the city auditor into a finance meeting to get an update on the office.
