There will be a regular meeting of the Committee on

At Holyoke City Hall in the Council Chamber, Friday September 19, at 6:00PM

Agenda:

 

1. Acceptance of previous meeting minutes

 

2. 9/2/14 McGee: Ordered, that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “FRIENDS OF COA $40,000 DONATION” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

3. 9/2/14 McGee: Ordered, that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “HOLYOKE FOOD & FITNESS POLICY COUNCIL CALL FOR PARTNERSHIPS” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

4. 8/5/14 McGee: Ordered, that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “FY15 EMD & TRAINING” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 
 

5. 8/5/14 McGee: Ordered, that in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44 Sec. 53A, the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of the “2014 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JAG” grant and authorizes the establishment of a Fund or other method appropriate for the accounting of the receipts and expenditures of all resources associated with the administration of said grant.

 

6. 8/5/14 Jourdain: Order: that the City of Holyoke return 400 High St. (Essex House) to it’s former owners

 

7. 8/5/14 McGee: Ordered: That the sum of $1,450,000 is appropriated to pay costs of demolishing a condemned building owned by the City as a tax possession, located at 400 High Street and known as the Essex Hotel, including the payment of all costs incidental and related thereto, and that to meet this appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Mayor, is authorized to borrow said amount under and pursuant to Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1997, or pursuant to any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of the City therefor.

Further Ordered: That the Treasurer is authorized to file an application to qualify under Chapter 44A of the General Laws any and all of the bonds or notes authorized to be issued pursuant to this Order, and to provide such information and execute such documents as may be required for such purposes.
