Agenda:

1. Acceptance of Previous meeting minutes

2. Bartley 12/2/14: Ordered that the City Council vote to declare surplus and available for disposition, approximately 1,750 square feet of office space within the City Hall Annex basement, being a portion of Assessors MBP 013-07-001

3. Bartley 2/3/15: “Ordered: That the Council accept an easement from the Connecticut River Watershed Council that will grant the City of Holyoke the right to construct a pedestrian hiking trail on a parcel of land located off of
Mountain Road identified within the City Assessor’s database as Map Block Parcel 194-00-004. Furthermore, order that the council authorize the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to accept said easement. Finally, this Easement shall be held under the custody and control of the Holyoke Conservation Commission under the authority granted it under MGL Chapter 40, Section 8C, to be managed for passive recreation only, under the rights and responsibilities of Article 97 of the Amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.”

4. Bartley 4/7/15: The Honorable City Council, in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B and the Holyoke Procurement Ordinance, vote to declare the property located at 188 Chestnut Street “surplus property available for disposition.” On 12/30/2014 the property was awarded to the City via Land Court Decree with a judgment recorded in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book 20552, Page 219. Said property is described in the Holyoke Assessor’s Records as Map 011, Block 10, Parcel 008, consisting of an approximate 4,118 square foot single family building situated on 11,712 square feet of land, more or less, and is more particularly described in a deed recorded in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book 12504, Page 178. The property is zoned as RO – Multifamily Residence and Professional Offices and was previously assessed at $61,600.

5. Bartley 4/7/15The Honorable City Council, in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B and the Holyoke Procurement Ordinance, vote to declare the property located at 232 Beech Street “surplus property available for disposition.” On 9/8/2014 the property was awarded to the City via Land Court Decree with a judgment recorded in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book 20418, Page 149. Said property is described in the Holyoke Assessor’s Records as Map 061, Block 03, Parcel 009, consisting of approximately 6,600 square feet of vacant land, more or less, and is more particularly described in a deed recorded in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book 16156, Page 6. The property is zoned as RM-20 – Multifamily Residence (20 units/acre) and was previously assessed at $30,600.

6. Bartley 4/7/15: The Honorable City Council, in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B and the Holyoke Procurement Ordinance, vote to declare the property located at 245 High Street “surplus property available for disposition.” On 01/26/2015 the property was awarded to the City via Land Court Decree with a judgment recorded in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book 20593, Page 446. Said property is described in the Holyoke Assessor’s Records as Map 012, Block 03, Parcel 002, consisting of an approximate 8,952 square foot office building situated on 2,265 square feet of land, more or less, and is more particularly described in a deed recorded in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book 17354, Page 459. The property is zoned as BC – Downtown Business and was previously assessed at $151,900.

7. Bartley 4/7/15: Order: , that the Honorable City Council, in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30B and the Holyoke Procurement Ordinance, vote to accept an offer from Easthampton Savings Bank to purchase a parcel of land located at 170 Sargeant Street for $5,000. Said Parcel contains approximately 0.83 acres and is described in Holyoke Assessors’ records as Map 060, Block 03, Parcel 001 and being more particularly described in deeds recorded in the Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book 857, Page 371. The parcel is zoned General Business (BG) and has an assessed value of $24,200. Mayor’s acceptance letter and additional information has been submitted to the Council.
