Ordered, that the City Council Committee on Ordinance review the existing PVTA and HCC bus stops in the City under 86-326 and delete and/or update that list as necessary (per request of the city engineer).

Ordered, No Parking area along the north side of Cherry St. between the entrance and exit of Leary Dr. be removed. In its place let there be designated parking spots along Cherry   St. with proper space from the existing crosswalk at Maple Crest, proper space left for the bus stop and proper buffer space for the fire hydrant.

The City Council refer to its Ordinance Committee an ordinance change to create a “Police Only” parking space, with any appropriate signage, at the top of John St. on the north side of the street. This is located near the High St. police substation.

Ordered, that Whereas: The current process for road closures provides no process for input from the affected parties nor any appeal process

 

Ordered: That the Council create an Ordinance governing road closures for (a) emergency, (b) construction/maintenance, (c) public events and (d) private uses, including Council issuance of a Special Permit as appropriate.

Ordered, that That the stop sign be placed at the North intersection on Sullivan Rd by the access road to Steven’s Roofing (Sullivan Rd Extension) and the Sullivan Rd Guard House to ISO New England.

When traffic empties out of the two Businesses the cars do not slow down when entering Sullivan Rd creating a danger for any vehicles on Sullivan   Rd or exiting ISO New England Facility.

 Ordered, that The city ordinances be changed to allow for overnight parking in front of 566 South St.

Whereas: Zoning Ordinance table 5.2 “Dimensional Controls” is unclear as to the meaning of “coverage” and has caused repeated confusion among developers and seekers of building permits

 

Ordered, that Table 5.2 be revised to include all currently defined Zones and to clarify the distinction between building coverage and total developed coverage on a parcel.

Whereas:  Each Zoning Special District is established for a Purpose, and Whereas eight of the ten existing Special Districts specify that Purpose within the appropriate section of the Zoning Ordinance

 

Ordered: That sections 8.1 “Floodplain Overlay District” and 8.4 “Professional Office Overlay District” be amended to begin with a stated Purpose for the District.

Ordered, that the city remove the handicap parking sign affixed to the illegal double-pole in front of 9 Wolcott St.  Parking on Wolcott, a one-way street, is at a premium and a nearby resident would like it removed.

Ordered, that a Handicap parking spot be placed in front of 94 Suffolk Street

This spot is for Living Water Counseling Center (LWCC) which has applied for a license, to provide outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment services at 94 Suffolk Street Clinic, in Holyoke

Ordered, that the DPW install 2 handicap parking signs in front of 2 and 4 St. James Ave (Sharon Bartlett p98512392, and Scott Bartlett CT 1531v vet plate to be transferred over to new MA placard number). Signs should be installed closer to corner of St James/St Jerome.
